ICT
Philosophy
As the internet and Information and Communication Technology (ICT) have fundamentally changed the way we communicate and work, so too they are changing the ways in which we teach and learn. The opportunities afforded by ICT challenge traditional methods of teaching and learning and geometrically widen the scope of possibilities for innovative classroom practice. St Luke's embraces the wide use of ICT and supports its meaningful use in Teaching & Learning throughout the curriculum.
Resources
St Luke's students have access to over 400 desktop, laptop and netbook computers throughout the School. In addition, all teachers are supplied with a laptop computer. Each teaching space from pre-Kindergarten to Year 12 is equipped with an interactive whiteboard, data projector and sound. A fast broadband fibre connection to the internet and state of the art 802.11n standard WiFi access available throughout the Middle and Senior Schools ensure unparalleled connectivity to the world outside the School gate.
Access
Students have 24 hour access to learning materials, resources and online class components through our online learning environment.
Our Portal provides St Luke's families with attendance, student welfare and academic data in real-time from our comprehensive school administration software package, Edumate, from any internet connection.
