Junior School

Welcome to the Junior School; a dynamic and busy environment for 345 students from Cottage (a school readiness program for four year olds) to Year 6. Year 6 at St Luke's is a year that prepares the children well for entry into high school and includes specialist lessons in Science, Music, Languages and Technology.

The Junior School has a well-established reputation for its caring and supportive environment and its commitment to the welfare and all round development of each of its precious students.

Along with the rest of the School, the Junior School has an unmistakably Christian foundation. This enables the staff to develop in students a belief and understanding that they are special and unique creations which encourages each individual to demonstrate his or her gifts in purposeful and meaningful ways.

The Junior School is characterised by the importance it places on the development of relationships, based on mutual respect, between all members of the School and the wider community. It is always our desire that not only students and staff, but parents too, feel valued and connected.

It is a pleasure for each member of staff to be involved in the academic, social, emotional and spiritual maturity of each student and to play a significant role in their journey through the Junior School.

I do hope you will be able to visit us in person and experience the joy that is the Junior School.
