• Providing effective communication between parents/staff/students

Senior School > Year 10 - Year 12

St Luke's Senior School, incorporating Years 10 to 12, caters for young men and women preparing for life beyond School. There is a strong emphasis on the development of leadership skills, independence and accountability.

The Senior School provides a supportive academic environment where students have many opportunities to excel in their studies and pursue personal interests. There is a deliberate effort to prepare students well for the Higher School Certificate and related pressures and demands. The broad range of elective subjects, sports and co-curricular opportunities on offer is supported by professional staff.

Middle School > Year 7 - Year 9

St Luke's Middle School caters for students in Years 7 to 9. Our Middle School has a clear brief for the specific and unique needs of the older child and young teenager at a time when there are profound changes in their physical, intellectual, social and emotional development.

The transition from Junior School to Senior School is facilitated by providing close adult-child relationships and by promoting strong links among students, family and School.

St Luke's Middle School seeks to foster a joy of learning and an appreciation of academic excellence. Both the Headland Program (for academically gifted students), and the Learning Support program (for students with specific learning needs), operate in the Middle School.

We promote character development encouraging the building of a sense of connectedness and student resilience.

Students in each year benefit enormously from holding positions of leadership and responsibility ranging from public speaking, organisation of assemblies and raising money for charity to holding positions of Middle School and House Captains.

It is our desire that when students graduate from Middle School, they have a keen understanding of their style of learning, the world around them, and how they can make a difference.
