  • 2019 HSC SUCCESS

    A HUGE congratulations to the St Luke’s Grammar School Class of 2019, who have achieved truly outstanding HSC results! The combined efforts of the students and staff have seen St Luke's again improve in State rankings to an incredible 28th place! And once again, the 2019 HSC results have ranked St Luke's as the 'Top Independent School on the Northern Beaches' (for the 7th consecutive year!).

     

    The School is thrilled with the results and so very proud of each Year 12 student, for their leadership this year, for their grit and determination in persevering until the end, and for finishing well. We wish them all the best for the next stage in their life and look forward to hearing of their adventures beyond the school gate!

    28th in the State – Overall
    13th in the State – Comprehensive Schools (Incl Single Sex / Co-Educational)
    9th in the State – Co-Educational Schools (Incl Selective / Comprehensive)
    3rd in the State – Comprehensive Co-Educational Schools (After Reddam House and Al-Faisal College)
    2nd on the Northern Beaches - Overall (After Manly Selective High School)
    1st on the Northern Beaches - Independent Schools
    1st on the Northern Beaches - Comprehensive Schools

    All Round Achievers

    The following 8 students gained 90 or more in 10 units or more and were recognised on the All Round Achievers List:

    Three students were one mark off this list: Katja Amet, Jack Bunton and Jack Hobson

     

    Top Achievers

    The following 2 students placed in the top 20 in a course and were recognised on the Top Achievers list:

     

    Rachel Hansen placed 12th in Biology with a mark of 95.
    Ryan Costin placed 19th in Mathematics Standard 2 with a mark of 98.

     

    One student received a mark of 50/50 for his Music 2 Performance: Nikolas Rejto

     

    Selections and Nominations

     

    The following 23 students received nominations and/or selections for their HSC major projects:

     

    HSC Drama OnSTAGE Nomination (Group): Sophie King, Zara Sargent & Lauren Wang received a nomination for their HSC Drama Group Performance.

     

    HSC Drama OnSCREEN Nomination and Selection: Jack Hobson received a nomination and selection for his HSC Video Project to be shown at OnSCREEN at the Seymour Centre.

     

    HSC Dance CALL BACK Nomination: Maddison Bowyer received a nomination for her HSC Dance Core Performance & Major Study Performance.    

     

    HSC Dance SCHOLARSHIP: Maddison Bowyer received the offer of a full $30 000 scholarship to QUT for Dance Performance.

     

    HSC Design & Technology SHAPE Nomination: Bradley Arcidiacono; Jordan Bothwell, Victor Dumas, Jessica Herlihy, Mitchell Hosking, Jarrod Lucas, Thomas Moor and Michelle Nguyen received nominations for their Design & Technology Major Projects.

     

    HSC Music ENCORE Nomination and Selection: Nikolas Rejto received a nomination and selection to perform his HSC Music 2 / Extension Performance at ENCORE at the Recital Hall in March 2020.

     

    HSC Music ENCORE Nomination: Mitchell Hardaker received a nomination for his HSC Music Performance.

     

    HSC Visual Arts ART EXPRESS Nomination and Selection: Samuel Havranek and Juliette Stevenson received nominations and selections for their HSC Visual Arts Bodies of Work to be displayed at the ART EXPRESS Exhibition.

     

    HSC Visual Arts EXPRESS YOURSELF Selection: Ashley Adcock, Bradley Arcidiacono, Hayley Biddulph, Carmen Johnson, Natalie Lu and Juliette Stevenson received selections for the EXPRESS YOURSELF Art Exhibition at Manly Art Gallery.
