Our Principal
Mrs Jann Robinson
MEd(Lead), BA, Dip Ed, TC, MACE, MACEL
Mrs Jann Robinson was appointed to St Luke's Grammar School in 2005. She holds a Masters in Educational Leadership, a Bachelor of Education majoring in English and History and a Diploma of Education. She is a member of the Australian College of Educational Leaders (MACEL) and the Australian College of Educators (MACE). She is currently the Chair of the Heads of Independent Co-Educational Schools (HICES) and a member of the Executive of the Association of Heads of Independent Schools, Australia (AHISA).
She began her teaching career with the Department of Education teaching English at a boys' school. She moved to the independent sector when she returned to the workforce after the birth of her children. She taught English and History but became a Modern History specialist. She taught in a girls' school and a co-educational school prior to her appointment to St Luke's.
Prior to taking up principalship, Mrs Robinson's leadership roles were in student welfare and curriculum advice. She held the positions of Year Advisor and Co-Ordinator Year 7-10 and these roles led her to believe that the well being of students was vital for their academic success. She is a strong advocate for young people developing resilience by being outwardly focussed.
Her Christian faith has contributed to her wanting to see young people equipped to make a difference in the world. She seeks to encourage young people to be compassionate, global citizens who have integrity and positive relationships within the communities to which they belong.
As an educator she is committed to the development of the whole person; seeking to encourage students to be the best they can be academically, in taking co-curricular opportunities and being prepared for life beyond the school gate.
