Student with Interactive WhiteboardICT

ICT is used to enhance Teaching and Learning in all subject areas at St Luke’s through integration into teaching programs. Teachers, who are equipped with modern laptops, also use the school database for administration and reporting.

Students have access to three full and several specialist computer labs with Junior School classrooms each having a set of desktop computers. The school suite of software enables students to explore, solve problems and create projects and presentations that communicate their learning to others. The modern library provides a space where students can use computers for research. Students have access, through school subscriptions to a range of reliable online databases.

An exciting innovation at St Luke’s has been the recent rollout of interactive whiteboards. All classrooms from Years K-12 are set up as multimedia rooms with data projectors, a sound system and interactive whiteboards.

The Parent Portal at St Luke’s gives parents access to student information via the internet. Parents are able to view the school calendar, attendance records, sick bay records, student timetables, news items and assessment tasks and results.

There is a commitment to providing a stable and current ICT infrastructure at St Luke’s. The school’s robust Novell network together with our safe and fast internet connection guarantee that students can connect with other people and communities throughout the world.
