General Information

School Term & Holiday Dates

The Australian School year is divided up into four terms, each approximately 10 weeks in length.  The year starts towards the end of January / early February and concludes in early December.


In between each term are School holidays, ranging in length from 2 - 3 weeks, with the summer holidays being the larger break, in December / January, usually lasting approximately 8 weeks.

Before & After School Care

St Luke’s Grammar School partners with Camp Australia in the provision of care for students before and after school.


At both the Dee Why and Bayview campuses, students are cared for onsite and are offered time to rest, play, complete homework and enjoy light refreshments.


Parents are welcome to make regular or casual bookings for their child to attend before or after school care Camp Australia via the Camp Australia website (Bayview) or (Dee Why).  


Additionally, Camp Australia often provides vacation care at local sites, during school holiday periods. Further details can be found at

Bus & Travel Information

Dee Why: The bus service available to St Luke's Dee Why students is provided by NSW Government RTA Buses. These buses however, are specifically for St Luke's students, and in the mornings, drop the students directly to the front gate of the School, and in the afternoons pick them up directly from the School. The service is free to all Australian residents.


Bayview: St Luke's provides a private bus service to and from St Luke's, Bayview Campus from Avalon. The bus is clearly branded as St Luke’s Grammar School – Bayview Campus and is provided by North Sydney Bus Charters. School Uniform Shop

The St Luke’s Uniform Shop supplies students with both new and second hand uniforms and accessories (except for footwear).  


Fitout appointments are compulsory for all new students who need to purchase a new uniform.


Online (via Flexischools), phone or email orders and enquiries are always welcome.  


Dee Why: Cottage and Junior School Orders may be collected from Junior School Reception by either parents or students. Senior School Orders may be collected from Student Reception.

Bayview: Sizing samples are available are available at the Bayview Uniform Shop. Orders can be placed (term time only) and collected from the Bayview Uniform Shop

For the start of the following School year, all new students must make an appointment during Term 4. All Cottage going into Kindy must make an appointment during Term 4.


  • No appointments required for current/existing Year 6 going into Year 7
  • No appointments required for current/existing Year 9 going into Year 10

At Dee Why, goods are delivered to students in Junior School and available at Student Reception for senior school students to collect. For Bayview, orders are delivered directly to the Bayview School Reception for collection. Sizing samples are available at the Bayview Campus Uniform Shop.  

Please note that if you require sizes outside those listed or made to measure garments please contact the School Shop with as much notice as possible to avoid any delays.

OPEN: Mon, Tue & Thu; 8:00am to 12:00pm; 1:00pm to 4:00pm   CLOSED: Wed & Fri


OPEN (Term time only): Tues 8:00 am - 10:00 am. Orders are always welcome through the Dee Why Uniform Shop, via Flexischools, by phone or in person.
