HOT OFF THE PRESS - Huge congratulations to the 10 Senior School students who competed (for the first time) in the Lifeline High School Surf Challenge at Curl Curl beach on Friday 26 March.
Both the St Luke's A Team and B Team achieved outstanding results - each progressing through to the Semi Finals. The A Team consisting of Sullivan T, Sol G, Fletcher K, Ethan D and Gor O then went on to win the competition, placing 1st out of 8 teams from high schools across the North Shore and Northern Beaches.
Thank you to the amazing team at @Lifeline Northern Beaches for hosting the event, to @Northern Beaches Council for supporting the competition and to Beau Mitchell and Duke Kelleher for coaching the teams.
With St Luke's situated so close to the beach, and most students who attend the School coming from local suburbs, the School is thrilled that Beau Mitchell (previously a professional surfer and current owner of the Boardriding Academy) will continue to coach the aspiring surfers at St Luke's, as part of a Surfing Academy that commences at the School in Term 2.
We are so proud of the boys who not only surfed well, but showed such great team spirit and camaraderie on the day! Such a fantastic way to end the day! GO STLUKE'S!
