Junior School - Dee Why Campus

The new Junior School Building was completed in 2020. The amazing facilities comprise new classrooms for all students in Cottage (Pre-School) to Year 5, in addition to break-out learning spaces which foster both independent and collaborative learning. The flexible spaces are designed to engage the hearts and minds of the students and propel student achievement across the curriculum.

The outdoor spaces feature multiple play areas and landscaped garden beds along with play equipment, cubby houses, rockeries and a sand pit.

The purpose-built Pre-School Precinct is a high-light, with amazing indoor and outdoor learning spaces, complete with playground equipment, a sandpit, a bicycle pathway and spectacular views of the coastline.

All Junior students also use the fully refurbished Hall, Music Precinct and expansive LearningHub facilities, to participate in the extensive range of co-curricular offerings available.

Junior School - Bayview Campus

The Bayview Campus, situated across from the spectacular shores of the Pittwater, provides a beautiful and peaceful learning environment for students in Cottage (Pre-School) to Year 6. Students then automatically transfer to the Dee Why Campus for their high school years.

The onsite facilities at Bayview include a purpose-built Pre-School precinct, complete with a beautiful outdoor landscaped area comprising sandpit, cubby house and multiple garden beds - encouraging inquiry based and integrative play experiences for our early learners.

The expansive contemporary K-6 classrooms enhance both independent and collaborative learning, and the Hall, Music Centre, Flexiroom, 'Stretch space' and LearningHub provide opportunities for a broad range of co-curricular activities to occur. The outdoor oval ('The Valley'), playground equipment and sport court also encourage physical activity and play.

Senior School - Dee Why Campus

The Senior School at the Dee Why Campus comprises the following:

General Classrooms
The Senior classrooms, specifically designed as flexible learning areas, are able to accommodate a variety of teaching methods and classroom sizes. All classrooms are air-conditioned and are equipped with ergonomic furniture and leading-edge technology.

Science Labs
St Luke’s has 6 Science Laboratories, utilised by Senior students in the study of Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Marine Biology, General Science and STEM classes.

Food Technology Labs
The two Food Technology laboratories feature sophisticated facilities providing students with the ability to study food properties, processing, preparation and nutrition and the ability to learn the importance of hygiene and safe working practices.

Creative Arts Precinct
The Creative Arts Precincts contain Visual Arts classrooms and Design & Technology studios, enabling students to study Visual Arts, Wood Technology, IPT, Software Design & Development, Food Technology, Textiles Technology and Design & Technology.

The Performing Arts Centre
The Performing Arts Centre is both a drama classroom and an intimate performance space. Flexible modular staging allows the space to be utilised for a number of purposes. Complementing the space are theatrical stage lights, quality sound equipment, a range of props and an extensive costume wardrobe.

The Fitness Centre/Gymnasium
The School’s Fitness Centre is a well-equipped exercise area. Incorporating free weights, weight machines, a range of cardiac fitness equipment and an open space for group workouts it is ideally equipped to cater for a wide range of fitness and exercise programs. The Fitness Centre is available to Senior students on specific mornings each week. Structured fitness sessions are provided, incorporating weights, body weight exercises, boxing and flexibility work. In addition, students in Senior classes also make use of the nearby Fitness First facilities.

Combined Facilities - Dee Why

The John Scott Hall
Facilitating Assemblies, Chapel Services, Musical and Drama productions as well as indoor sports, training and events, the John Scott Hall is a highly versatile multi-purpose venue.

The LearningHub (Library Resource Centre)
The Dee Why LearningHub is a progressive space with a well-stocked library, online resources and modern learning spaces, designed to facilitate whole class activities as well as private study and quiet reading.

The Corbett Centre
The Corbett Centre is a vibrant modern facility comprising of a multi-purpose space, the Visual Arts Precinct, several classrooms and a dual-level car park.

The Music Precinct
The refurbished and extended Music Precinct comprises an array of music, practice and performance rooms, which cater for a range of theoretical and practical learning.

Outdoor Sport Courts
The top level of the Corbett Centre is an outdoor sport space, consisting of two multi-sport courts for basketball, netball, tennis and volleyball.

Outdoor Spaces

  • The Douglass Quadrangle, in the spirit of a ‘town square’, located at the centre of the Senior School, is a multipurpose outdoor space containing contemporary seating and plenty of open space, making it an ideal area for students to play, catch up with friends or simply take a break.
  • The Bennett Quadrangle,situated at the front of the Dee Why Campus is comprised of landscaped gardens, a spacious lawn area and ample seating. The Bennett Quad is a peaceful, sunny area designed specifically for the use of Senior Years 11 & 12 students. The space provides a collegial atmosphere where Senior students can relax and enjoy their study breaks, recess and lunch.
  • The Lower Field is a large, open, grassed area, used for PE and other classes, sports training, and as a play area and relaxing space during recess and lunch. On a daily basis, St Luke's also engages the use of the Pitt Road fields for off-site rugby and soccer practice and games. These fields are conveniently located close to the School and students are transported to the fields in the School's private buses. In addition, St Luke's also uses the local outdoor environment, including local beaches, lakes and parklands for sports and activities as part of the PE Curriculum for both Junior and Senior Schools.

The Basketball Training Centre
The Basketball Training Centre provides a dedicated indoor practice court with multiple hoops, as well as upstairs learning spaces. In 2021, work will commence on the building of additional Indoor Basketball Courts.

The Canteens
At both the Dee Why and Bayview campuses, the Canteens are located in the heart of each School. With facilities to provide both hot and cold meals, Canteen Staff provide a wide range of healthy food options to both students and staff.
