Staff Spotlight: Madison Lawrence
Miss Madison Lawrence | Head of Spoken Arts | 6 February 2023
Introducing our new Head of Spoken Arts and Senior School Geography Teacher, Miss Madison Lawrence!
Why are you excited to start in your role at St Luke's Grammar School?
I am excited to start my role at St Luke’s as I have a huge passion for Debating and Public Speaking and strongly believe in the benefits of the activity both for students’ learning but also the development of well-rounded young people. I am also excited to join such a supportive and engaged community.
What do you love about your subject?
The most fulfilling aspect of being a Geography teacher is empowering students to become problem-solvers who can address the challenges facing our world. By teaching critical and creative thinking skills, I hope to inspire my students to make a positive impact on their local communities and beyond.
What can you be found doing when you’re not teaching?
When not teaching you can find me watching the latest musical, playing with my cat Nala, or just hanging out with my friends and family.
If you could have any super-power, what would you have?
Definitely teleportation. I would love to be able to travel all around the world instantly and have no morning commute!
