General Information

School Term & Holiday Dates

The Australian School year is divided up into four terms, each approximately 10 weeks in length.  The year starts towards the end of January / early February and concludes in early December.

In between each term are School holidays, ranging in length from 2 - 3 weeks, with the summer holidays being the larger break, in December / January, usually lasting approximately 8 weeks.

Before & After School Care

St Luke’s Grammar School partners with Camp Australia in the provision of care for students before and after school.

Camp Australia – Guiding Children’s Growth

We are proud to partner with Camp Australia to provide our Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) program at both our Bayview and Dee Why Campuses.

Camp Australia programs are centred on child enrichment, while ensuring a reliable, engaging and hassle-free OSHC service at our school. Their engaged educators foster a safe, inclusive environment where children can relax, have fun and grow.

Your OSHC – OSHC that inspires

Your OSHC is Camp Australia’s before school, after school and pupil free day program, tailored to the likes and interests of each child in service. Camp Australia’s educators design enriching experiences to inspire your children’s confidence, independence and imagination. In any one week, they could be participating in science experiments, active play, creative expression and more - they believe in learning through experience so that each child can grow.

Parents are welcome to make regular or casual bookings for their child to attend before or after school care Camp Australia via the Camp Australia website (Bayview) or (Dee Why).

To attend care, you must register your child. Register now for free.

Additionally, Camp Australia often provides vacation care at local sites, during school holiday periods.

Canteen

St Luke's is committed to healthy eating. Full-time professional chefs provide a selection of nutritious home style meals each day, minimising the use of processed foods containing high sugar, salt or fat content.

The menu ranges from basic to gourmet, covering the wide variety of needs of students from Pre-School to Year 12. A typical daily selection includes 2 - 3 different hot meals, cold foods such as sandwiches, salads and sushi, and tasty treats such as fruit, yogurt, ice blocks and other snacks.

The Canteen also relies on the help of parent volunteers. If you are able to assist in the Dee Why canteen please contact the Canteen Manager, Ms Karen Uren at canteen@stlukes.nsw.edu.au

Online Canteen Ordering

All pre-ordering for both campuses is done online via Flexischools  (www.flexischools.com.au) which provides a convenient way to order lunches in advance. Payment is via Credit Card.

If you do not already have a Flexischools account, please visit Flexischools, click 'Register Now' and follow the prompts to set up your family account.

Nut Policy

St Luke’s aims towards being an ‘allergy friendly’ school.

Due to food allergies of several of our students, students are asked not to include nut products as part of their recess or lunch. This includes chocolate treats and chocolate and nut spreads such as Nutella.

For information on our nut policy or to advise of other dietary requirements, please contact the Canteen.
